If they can stop laughing long enough, Indigo Nights will give you a great show! These guys have fun when they’re together—no matter if it’s on stage or rehearsing late at night, they’re definitely in it for a good time. Busy schedules keep rehearsal time at a premium and they often rehearse late at night. They know for a fact that the streetlights in the parking lot go off at 11:00 p.m.
Formed in January 2011, the guys have drawn from their prior quartet experience to quickly pull together a new a vibrant sound. Lead singer Brad Willman and his wife Kourtney call Clear Lake, Iowa home where Brad is a restaurant manager. The quartet hangs its sound on Brad’s rich mellow voice. Tenor, Charles Carrier also lives in Clear Lake and commutes to Mason City, where he is an accountant at the North Iowa Area Community College. Though he’s the only single member of the quartet, he’s taking notes and learning from the other three guys. He may even share some of his observations with you (if you ask nicely).
Bass, Jay Ryner is the quartet’s official musician. He’s the Director of Choral Activities at NIACC and lives with wife Sarah and sons Jordan and Gavin in Nora Springs. Jay is a certified judge in the Barbershop Harmony Society and has judged at district and International competitions. He is the Musical Director of the River City Chorus and does many of Indigo Night’s arrangements.
Also known as “the old guy,” Baritone Paul Krull is warmly supported in his quartet activities by wife Cynthia and his kids, Kayla, John and Tara. Paul is a financial coach for individuals and small businesses but sings to stay healthy. Laughter is the best medicine in the world and these four have plenty!
Come share a laugh and a song with us and please—try not to distract Charles!
