About Crossroads
Crossroads is a highly anticipated new vocal quartet steeped in the
tradition of the
Barbershop genre. Crossroads entertains audiences with a wide
variety of musical styles in addition to Barbershop, including Vocal Jazz, Blues, Gospel, standards from the Great American Songbook, and Pop
classics. Although they are "geographically challenged" living in four different states within the U.S., Crossroads boasts four very versatile
champion vocalists, all of whom have earned the coveted "gold medal" awarded each year to the Barbershop Harmony Society's World Champion Quartet.
Consisting of bass Jim Henry, baritone Brandon Guyton, lead Mike Slamka, and tenor Fred Farrell, they will simply knock your socks off!

Waldorf Artist Series to feature River City Barbershop Chorus Sunday, March 29
The River City Barbershop Chorus will return to Forest City on Sunday, March 29, as part of the Waldorf Community Artist Series. They will perform a full repertoire of favorites beginning at 7:30
p.m. in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 246 S. Clark St., Forest City.
Under the direction of Jason Ryner, The River City Barbershop Chorus features more than 70 members of all ages. Based in Mason City, the chorus performs regularly throughout the north central Iowa
region. This is the ensemble's third appearance as part of the Waldorf Community Artist Series.
The performance is open to the public. For those who do not have a Waldorf Artist Series membership, tickets may be purchased at the door, $10 for adults and $5 for students. To order in advance,
contact Amy McGinnis at 641-585-8177 or mcginnisa@waldorf.edu.
This performance is possible because of the generous support of this season's sponsors: Laila Bollinger D.D.S., Dimensional Group, First Citizen's Financial Corporation, Forest City Chamber of
Commerce, Iowa Arts Council, Manufacturers Bank & Trust, KIOW Radio, Titonka Savings Bank, and WCTA.
Series tickets for Waldorf College's Artist Series also include the performance by pianist Joel Fan on April 23.
Waldorf College, located in Forest City, Iowa, is a four-year, liberal arts college that delivers engaging experiences through innovative classroom instruction. The college's curriculum challenges
students to think relationally as they discover new ways to connect their vocational call to serve the world's needs.
